Die-cut boxes

Designing graphics for die-cut labels usually consists of designing graphics for the front, sides, and back of a package. The design is either printed as a label and adhered or printed on the package surface.

Project: The Original Puzzle Presto, 2010
Type: Package Design for Die Cut Folding Board, with Flap
Client: Buffalo Games

Description:
This package has a flap (velcro shut) on the front. The manufacturer felt the product needed a bit more explanation of how it works, so on the inside flap I created a diagram (with Adobe Illustrator) for it. This was a fun project and I enjoyed being about to do something different with the package, than just the standard 2 piece bottom & top (aka telescoping) packages.

Involvement:
Created package graphics
Created the flap and die-line for it
Created Illustrated diagrams
Oversaw photo shoot for photos on cover

Job: NOCO Gift Card & Holder, 2012
Type: Gift card holder/packaging
Client: NOCO

Description:
This project was to not only redesign a gift card design, it was to also design a holder for it in which the card giver could write a message to the recipient. I also created the die-line for it to be die-cut. On the inside, one side was for writing on, and the other to advertise the NOCO Express stores. I photographed my car getting gas, in front of the store for that reason. The photo later was used in other advertisements, including on the back of the NOCO business cards.

Involvement:
Create die-line for die-cut
Graphics
Layout
Photo retouching
